Rebecca "Becky" Jeanne Torrance White

Funeral services for Mrs. Rebecca Jeanne Torrance "Becky" White will be held Monday, May 12, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Followell officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Porterville. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Rebecca Jeanne Torrance "Becky" White, 60, of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away Thursday, May 8 at the University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital.

Becky was born August 29, 1964 to Raymond, Sr. and Jeanne Torrance in Meridian, MS.  She was a graduate of Lamar High School; she attended the University of Southern Mississippi for three years.  An avid softball player, Becky played during high school and college.  Becky worked for Delco Remy prior to fifteen years of service to the Meridian Star as the distribution manager.  Becky was also passionate about rescuing animals.  Becky married the love of her life, Jonathan White, on July 25, 1994 and together they raised their daughter, Daisy.  She deeply loved her family, friends, and pets.

Becky is survived by her husband, Jonathan Dewayne White; her daughter, Daisy Victoria White; her step-daughter, Brianna Morgan White; her sister, Nancy Melinda Torrance Adams (Rodney); her brother, Raymond Laverl "Bubba" Torrance, Jr. (Elisa); her nephew, Raymond Laverl Torrance III (Traye); her nieces, Ashley Elisabeth Torrance and Joni Dee Adams Acosta; her great-nieces, Destynie Nicole Phillips, Karolina Eileen Torrance Matos (Emery), Isbella Jeanne Torrance, Alexandria Mae Torrance, Juliette Elizabeth Torrance, Olivia Ann Baydoun, and Estella Arrow Hues; her great-nephew, Camrynn Earl Acosta; and her great-great-niece, Millie Nilcole Armstrong.

Mrs. White was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Laverl Torrance, Sr. and Jeanne Earl Clay Torrance; and her mother-in-law, Helen Edith Lowe.

Memorial contributions may be shared with the Arthritis Research Foundation.

Pallbearers will be Felix Bryan, Tony Malone, Ken Covington, Dow Blackwell, Robert Blackwell, and Devin Blackwell.
