Funeral services for Reverend James Kimbrough will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Reverends Brandon Speak and Eddie Tatum officiating. Burial will follow at Clayton Cemetery.

Mr. Kimbrough, age 71, of Lauderdale, passed away February 18 at Rush Hospital.

James’ desire was to serve the Lord by sharing the Gospel. He pastored at Cuba Church of God in Alabama, Rockbridge Church of God in Missouri, and Pine Grove Church of God in Mississippi and continued to serve as pastor as needed after his retirement. He loved music, playing the piano, and singing. He also taught public, private and Christian schools for many years. James deeply loved his family and had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Charlotte Kimbrough; children, Charles R. Kimbrough and Angie Kimbrough (Trey) Ramsey; grandchildren, Lily Ramsey, Emma Ramsey, Nelson Kimbrough, and Levi Ramsey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Mary Kimbrough, and his siblings.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Corn, Jubal Ryan, Ed Stallings, Paul Watkins, Greg Hatcher, and Jim Clayton. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Mason and Gary Ryan.
