Funeral services for Reverend Diane Griffin will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Maranatha Fellowship Church in Meridian, Mississippi with Reverend Anita Hall and Bishop Gary Longo officiating. Burial will follow at Knight Family Cemetery in Collinsville, Mississippi with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Rev. Griffin, age 72, of Collinsville passed away Saturday, April 01, 2017 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Rev. Griffin was an ordained minister with the Pentecostal Church of God for 36 years where she also served as the first female Sectional Presbyter and first female board member.

Rev. Griffin was born and raised in Galveston, Texas, then moved to Mississippi. She loved to preach the gospel and sing. She pastored at different times in her ministry but her heart was for evangelism. She was a mighty intercessor. She loved God and her family and made an everlasting impact on everyone she met. She will be truly missed by many, but she has finished the race and is now shouting around the throne of God.

She is survived by her daughters, Stacy (Reverend W.L.) Bryce, Frankie (Chris) Brown, Kathy Cruise, Polly Knight, and Lucy Knight White; one son, Lamar (Nancy) Knight Jr.; stepdaughter, Mary Folsom; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brothers, Robert, David, and Leonard Hamilton; and sisters, Ruthie Hechler, Rita Brackeen, and Gerri Gentles.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Lamar Knight Sr.; her husband of 24 years, Carl Griffin; and granddaughter, Denise White.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Knight, Alan Knight, Jay Jenkins, DJ White, Chris White, Nick Knight, Robert Strickland, and Lane Worrell.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 3, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
