Richard Asa Boswell

Funeral services for Asa Boswell will be held Friday, November 11, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Dr. Albert “Hack” McMullen officiating. Burial will follow at Toomsuba Cemetery.

Mr. Boswell, 78, of Toomsuba, passed away November 8 at Anderson’s Hospital.

Asa was a lifelong resident of Toomsuba and a longtime member of Toomsuba Baptist Church. He worked for Morgan’s nursery as a foreman for over forty years. Asa will be remembered as a faithful and loving Christian husband, father and grandfather, who never missed his grandchildren’s numerous activities.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Myrtis Boswell; children, Mike (Gina) Boswell and Michele (Andy) Mason; grandchildren, Josh Boswell, Jake Mason, Brett Mason, and Ashlyn Boswell; brothers, Al Boswell, of Gulfport, MS, and Charlie Boswell, of Quitman, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and a sister.

Pallbearers will be Andy Mason, Jake Mason, Josh Boswell, David Boswell, Eddie Boswell, and Todd Boswell.
