Richard Enoch Ladner

Graveside services for Mr. Richard E. Ladner will be held Friday, February 7, 2025, at 12:00 PM Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS, with Rev. Joey Shelton officiating. Mr. Richard E. Ladner, age 82, of Meridian, MS, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center. Richard is a veteran of the U.S. Army, qualified as an excellent rifleman stationed in Korea. After his military service Richard drove an eighteen wheeler for himself and then went on to a career as an Aviation Mechanic for Dean Aircraft until his retirement. He earned his private pilot's license and enjoyed flying his Cessna 135. Richard was also a licensed Ham radio operator and enjoyed conversing with people all over the world. Most of all he loved spending time with his family He is survived by his daughter; Sandy Anthony (Danny) and Jennifer Hester, grandchildren; Danny Anthony, II, Brittany Mock (James), and Sumner Hester, and great-grandchildren; Aleigha Mock and Brantley Mock. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pascal and Elizabeth Ladner. The family request memorial donations be made to Anderson Cancer Center Benevolent Fund.
