The funeral service for Mr. Richard Miles will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Brother Douglas Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Springs Southern Methodist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Richard Miles, age 78, of Meridian went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

Mr. Miles was born in Lauderdale County on September 23, 1943. He was a graduate of Clarkdale Attendance Center. Richard worked for the City of Meridian in public works before a long career as a truck driver. He was a deacon at Glad Tidings Pentecostal Holiness Church where he had been a member for many years. Richard was a loving father, stepdad, and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and taking trips to the mountains. He was well loved and will be missed by many.

Mr. Miles is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Jackie White Miles; his children, David Miles (Melissa), Regina Walker, and Judy Litchfield; his sister, Sybil Martin; grandchildren, Christopher Silvey, Matthew Hale, Mark Hale, Jason Walker, Melissa Dearing, Elisha Walker, and Russell McClure; and three great-grandchildren, Nathan Hale, Keaton Dearing, and Charlie McClure.

He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Miles, and his daughter, Kim McClure; and his siblings, Charles Miles, Shirley Lafferty, and Wade Miles.

Pall bearers will be Robby McClure, Russell McClure, Mark Hale, Nathan Hale, Matthew Hale, and Lynn Latham.

The family suggests memorial contributions are shared with the Lauderdale County Animal Shelter or Shriner's Children's Hospital, in lieu of flowers.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Thursday at the funeral home.
