Richard Gayden Patrick Memorial Services for Richard Patrick will be held Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 10:45 at Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church, with Reverend Wayne Smith officiating. Mr. Patrick, 82, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at his residence. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army and Air Force. Mr. Patrick was a member of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School Director. Richard worked as a professional photographer and was the first photographer for the New Orleans Saints. He also worked as a printing consultant for 32 years, where he worked for numerous Christian ministries. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Patrick, of Meridian; children, Deb Bruce and husband, Scott of South Dakota, Gay Chartier and husband Richard of Colorado Springs, Dick Patrick and wife Stacey of Dallas, TX, Glenna Weltzin and husband Mike of Phoenix, AR; step-children, David Byrd and wife Karla of Helena, AL, Jennifer Passmore and husband Tim of Bradenton, FL, Houston Byrd and wife Jill of Helena, AL, Susan Cunningham and husband David of Helena, AL; twenty-seven grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Burnside and husband Hoke, of Houston,TX; brother, Floyd Patrick and wife Anne of Madison, MS; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harmon Patrick; and first wife, Patsy Jean Patrick. The family requests memorials be made to Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund.
