Memorial Services for Rick Beasley will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 12:00p.m. at Russell Baptist Church, with Brother David Holifield officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Rick, age 62, of Lauderdale, Mississippi passed away August 11, 2018.
Rick was born on July 4, 1956 in Troy, Alabama to Bea and the late Kenneth Beasley. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend. His son, grandchildren, and family were his heart.
He attended and graduated from Meridian High School, where he was known as “Golden Toes” for kicking winning field goals.
After graduating from high school, Rick graduated from MCC School of Nursing. He was employed at Select Specialty Hospital as Regional Nurse Educator.
Rick was a member of Russell Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting and just sitting at times to watch and listen to the wildlife. He had a passion for softball, a game he loved.
He is survived by his wife of fifteen years, Deborah Beasley; son, Shaun Beasley (Dara), Mickey Dial (Charlene), and Ross Dial (Bailey); grandchildren, Christian, Heidi, Lane, and Miles Beasley; Riley, M.E., and Lennon Dial; mother, Bea Beasley; sisters, Ann Tolbird (Dean) and Terri Miller (Michael); brother, Robbie Jones; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Beasley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
