Rick Hornsby

Funeral services for Mr. Rick Hornsby will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Toomsuba, MS. Reverend Willie Barnes will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Little Hope Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. After burial, a repass will be held at Little Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Hornsby, age 61, of Toomsuba, passed away on February 6, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Hornsby was an excellent basketball player. He enjoyed customizing his vehicles. Mr. Hornsby will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Hornsby; children, Danielle McClain (Brandon) and Ricky Hornsby (Jennifer); grandchildren, Emmanuel, James, Jasmine, Caiden, and one on the way, Blakely; his God-daughters, Gabrielle Ward (Curtis) and her sons, Isaiah and Mason, and Ashley Perry; mother, Irene Hornsby; father and mother-in-law, Tommie and Mary Alice Reed; siblings, Peggy Hornsby, Sandra Palmer (John), Jack Hornsby, Kenneth Hornsby (Elizabeth); sisters-in-law, Fannie Reed (Ronny), and Tommie Jean Slay; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving father, Jamie Lewis Hornsby and his brother, Jimmy Lewis Hornsby.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Hornsby’s family and friends.
