Ricky Lamar McKinley Services for Ricky Lamar McKinley will be held Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Russell Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m., with Reverend Wayne Long and Jewells Greer officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. McKinley, age 52, of Meridian, died Friday, August 24, 2012, in Meridian. He was born in Lauderdale County and reared in Neshoba County. He was a graduate of Southeast High School, a member of the Russell Volunteer Fire Department, Lauderdale County Emergency Management, Emergency Medical First Response, Jimmy Rodgers Association and served as a volunteer with the American Red Cross, and worked many years as an Over the Road truck driver. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and friend. Mr. McKinley will touch many lives as he was an organ donor. His final wishes were that all family and friends he loved and knew would also touch, as he did, many lives and become an organ donor. Survivors include his wife, Dana McLelland McKinley of Meridian; son, Richard Lance McKinley and wife Michelle of Birmingham, AL; brother, Randy McKinley of Dallas, TX; brother-in-law Todd Ricks; father and mother in law, Lamar and Pat McLelland of Meridian; sister in law, Stacey Grunwald and husband, Jim of Ocean Springs, MS; brother in law, Jay McLelland and wife Jenifer of Huntsville, AL; a very special friend, Mary Ann Wells of Baton Rouge, LA; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alpha Jean McKinley Smith; and father, Carlye Zachary McKinley. The family request memorials be made to a memorial fund for Ricky L. McKinley.
