Ricky Pounders

Funeral Services for Mr. Ricky Pounders will begin at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Freedom Church in Caledonia, MS with Pastor Clarence Tilghman officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites in McDuffie Cemetery in Hamilton, MS. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Pounders, 60, of Meridian, died, Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Ochsner Rush Medical Center in Meridian.

Ricky was a Minister of Music with a fierce passion to serve the Lord through song. He was a prayer warrior, always seeking The Lord in all situations. He always had a servant’s heart, putting others before himself. His favorite job was being “Pop-Pop” to his six loving grandchildren. He worked for over 29 years, as salesman with Integrated Power Services, formerly Industrial Electric; he often won salesman of the year. Ricky was a hard worker who was passionate about his job, caring for his customers, who became his family and close friends. His family was his pride and joy, and the cornerstone of his existence; he enjoyed getting his family together for any cause.

Ricky is survived by his children, Dustin Pounders (Madison), Brittany Pounders, and Asalyn Eubanks (Cody); grandchildren, Marissa Averette, Bentley Pounders, Sawyer Pounders, Hadleigh Pounders, Emberly Pounders, and Lynleigh Eubanks; his father, Bobby Pounders; his siblings, Billy Pounders (Julie), Lori Winters, Tim Pounders, David Pounders (Diane), and Phillip Pounders (Amy), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mr. Pounders is preceded in death by his mother, Cathy Pounders; His paternal grandparents, Quinon and Irene Pounders; his maternal grandparents, Leo and Tishie Clark; and his brother, Nicky Pounders.
