Services for Rita Nell White Smith will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Damon Williams officiating. Burial will be in Pine Springs Southern Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith, 88, of Meridian passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Smith was a longtime resident of the Pine Springs community. She was a member of Antioch Southern Methodist Church. Mrs. Smith will be remembered as a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and dedicated Christian who's talent was a behind the scene worker and encourager who led by example.

She is survived by her children, Jerry W. Smith and wife, Fran, Pine Springs community; Joyce S. Williamson, and husband, Billy A., Pine Springs community; Charlie Smith and wife, Margie, Meridian; and Ron Smith and wife, LaDonna , Collinsville. Grandchildren; Trisha Bonner, and husband, Alan, Jeff Smith, and wife Janet, Jason Smith, and wife, Criston; Amanda Posey, husband, Jason; Russ Williamson; Misti Denham, and husband, Heath; Brandi Shafer , and husband, Kiley; Cody Fuller, and wife, Whitney; Heather McNeill, and husband, Frank; Smitty Smith, and wife Jessy; and Matt Smith, and wife, Lauren; daughter-n-law, Dale Burcham and husband, Danny ; 17 great grandchildren; and brother, James Eddie White, and wife, Eddie, Martin community.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Smith, parents, Allen and Gladys White, sisters, Frances Palmer and Mildred Tolbert, and special friends, Murry and Ruby Rogers.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Smith, Jason Smith, Alan Bonner, Russ Williamson, Smitty Smith, Matt Smith, Cody Fuller, Frank McNeill, Jason Posey, Heath Denham, and Kiley Shafer.
