Graveside service for Robert "Bob" A. Gentry will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery, with Reverend Roy S. Garrett officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Gentry, 87, of Albany, Georgia died Saturday, March 29, 2014, at his residence. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and he served in World War II. Mr. Gentry was a Mason and Shriner. He worked for thirty-nine years with Rhodes Furniture and served as President of Furniture Association in Alabama.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-nine years, Ernesteen Null Gentry of Albany, Georgia; sons, Scott Gentry of Atlanta, Georgia, Gregg Gentry and wife Starr of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Alan Gentry of Decatur, Alabama; daughters, Jann Hamilton and husband Paul of Raleigh, North Carolina and Gaynell Larkin and husband Jep of Tallahassee, Florida; grandchildren, Ashley and Josh O'Neal, Abbey Gentry and Garrett and Ally Larkin; great-grandson, Braxton Brown and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. and Clara Gentry; brothers, H.S. "Dan" Gentry and James O. Gentry and sister, Jean G. Bailey.

The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
