Robert E. "Chic" Gossett A Memorial Service for Robert E. "Chic" Gossett will be held Thursday, June 28, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Blair officiating. Mr. Gossett, 80, of Meridian, died Saturday, June 23, 2012, at his residence. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. Mr. Gossett retired from AT&T and Bellsouth after over 30 years of service. He was also a veteran of the Korean War, and served in the Army National Guard. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Gloria Joyce Gossett of Meridian; daughters, Pam McKee of Meridian, and Candy Irby and husband, Bruce of Meridian; grandchildren, Jared McKee and Kara Irby; special friend, June Howington; sister, Peggy Platt; a very special niece, Joyce Pippin; and several other nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Elaine Gossett. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Mae Graham; father, Robert L. Gossett; brother, James E. "Jimmy" Gossett; son, Robert Mark Gossett; and son- in- law H. Leon McKee.
