A funeral service for Robert "Bob" Joseph Perna will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Rev. Chuck Meador and Rev. Leon Tingle officiating. Burial will be at Mississippi State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, Mississippi with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Robert "Bob" Joseph Perna, age 70, of Meridian passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.

Bob was a retired veteran of the United States Marine Corps and the Army National Guard. He also served as a crime scene investigator in Bergen County, New Jersey. Bob enjoyed collecting coins, going to coin shows, and horseback riding. He could often be found volunteering at Loves Kitchen and Meals on Wheels. He will be missed by his "older kids" coffee group at The Daily Grind.

Bob is survived by his spouse, Anh Thi Nguyen, three brothers, and two sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Eleanor Perna.
