Robert “Bob” Leifried

Graveside services for Bob Leifried will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery on Vimville Causeyville Road. Dr. Richard Wallace and Dr. Dan Lanier will officiate, with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Leifried, 80, of Meridian, passed away February 2 at UAB.

Bob was a twenty year veteran of the US Navy and worked in the aviation field at NAS Meridian. After retirement, he started his own enterprise, Bob’s Barn, specializing in his own handcrafted heirloom toys. Bob was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending quality time with his family and friends. He was a faithful member of Northcrest Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of nearly fifty-nine years, Shirley Leifried; children, Starla Rowell and Rod Leifried and his wife, Traci; grandchildren, Robert Hughes, Jennifer Rowell, Ryder Leifried, and Gage Leifried, as well as seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, Linda Henriques and Dick Leifried.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Mable Leifried, and brothers, Marvin Leifried, Jr and Teddy Leifried.
