Robert Joseph "Bobby Joe" Martin Funeral services for Robert Joseph "Bobby Joe" Martin will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Causeyville Baptist Church with Reverend Carol Simon and Reverend Doug Stokes officiating. Burial will be at Causeyville Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Martin, age 74, of Meridian, passed away Friday, December 05, 2014 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Bobby Joe graduated from Beat Four in 1957 and was employed with Meridian Woodworking Inc. from 1960 - 1962. He was a second generation logger for more than 50 years. He was the president and owner of Martin Logging, a deacon of Causeyville Baptist Church and Hebron Baptist Church. At time of death, he attended Cross Mountain Ministries in Porterville, MS. He was also a board member of the Mississippi Loggers Self Insured Fund. Survivors include his wife, Sarah Elizabeth Martin; sons, Keith Martin and Darron Martin and wife, Robin; daughter, Daphne Martin Etheridge and husband, Morris of Sweet Water, Alabama; grandchildren, Justin Martin, Jordan Martin, Olivia Martin, Victoria Martin, John Thomas Etheridge, and William Etheridge; sister, Carol Simon of Huntsville, Alabama; and brother-in-law, Preston Pearson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Mary Lee Martin, and sister, Sybil Yvonne Pearson. Pallbearers will be Justin Martin, Marvin Wallace, Preston Pearson Jr., Rodney Pearson, Brad Richardson, and Greg Simon. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Hagwood, LaNoyette Smith, Ronnie Shirley, Rickey Shirley, Howard Hagwood, Wallace Murphy, and Vincent Ruffin.
