Funeral services for Mr. Robert E. Pearson will begin at 2:00 PM Friday, February 9, 2024, at Causeyville Baptist Church with The Reverends Jimmy Culpepper, Doug Stokes, and Tony Chancellor officiating. Interment will follow at Causeyville Baptist Church Cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Pearson, 77, of Causeyville, died Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Mr. Robert was a man of many talents, he was a cowboy, storyteller, friend, and caretaker of animals. He took great pride in his family and grandchildren especially; following and supporting their every endeavor. He was a master Carpenter and worked for the University of West Alabama retiring after over 20 years of service. He was a horse trainer and loved team roping, as long as his health allowed. He loved showing off his horses and Border Collies in his videos and pictures. Most of all, He loved his family as Christ loved the Church, making sure his family followed Christ in their lives.

Mr. Robert is survived by his wife of nearly 54 years, Judy Pearson; children Amy Newell (Daniel)  and Will Pearson (Brittany); grandchildren, Gracie Newell (Fiancé Mason Terry), Libby Newell, Cooper Pearson, and Lane Pearson; his brother, Charles Pearson (Cathy), and his sister, Mary Ann Robbins; his special friends, David and Cindy Morris, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Mr. Pearson is preceded in death by his parents, Preston and Mary Pearson; his mother-in-law Lillian Carpenter; his father-in-law, Allen Carpenter; and his brother, Preston Wayne Pearson.

The Pearson Family suggests memorials be made as donations to the Cowboy Crisis Fund or to The American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

Pallbearers will be David Morris, Roman Steele, Shawn Smith, Clint Smith, Kevin Bentley, Doyle Perkins, Charles Brown, and Mason Terry, with Ashley Robinson and Chris McNeil serving as honorary pallbearers.
