Services for Robert Glen Simmons will be held Friday at 11a.m. at the Chapel of Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with the Revs. Davery Wilkerson and Jimmy Harrison officiating. Mr. Simmons, 60, of Lauderdale, died Friday, May 14, 2010, at Riley Hospital. Survivors include his son, Drew Simmons and his wife Regina, of Deer Park, Texas; daughter, Brande Guidry and her husband, Steven, of Baytown, Texas; grandchildren, Logan Simmons, Courtney Simmons, Macy Simmons, Ben Simmons, Elizabeth Deiterich, Trent Marullo, Jacob Guidry, Tamera Guidry, and Briana Guidry; stepmother, Evelyn Simmons Cowan and her husband, Jim, of Aberdeen;brother, Ricky Simmons and his wife, Beverly, of Lauderdale; sister, Debbie Hutto and her husband, Scott, of Pensacola, Fla.; niece, Heather Simmons Jones and her husband Ben; and nephew, Dusty Simmons and his wife, Ashley, all of Lauderdale; and a special friend, Pam Peters and her husband, Michael, of Lauderdale. He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Smith Vaughn; father, Roger Lee Simmons; and brother, Victor Lee Simmons. Pallbears will be Jerry S. Simmons of Birmingham, Ala., Dusty Simmons, Greg Gilbert, John Fielder, Charles Long, Michael Peters, and Drew Simmons, all of Lauderdale. Honorary pallbearers will be Claude B. "Butch" Simmons of New Port, Ore., Dick Simmons of Hattiesburg, Bill Joyner of Meridian, Trent Marullo, Logan Simmons, and Jacob Dieterich, all of Deer Park, Texas. Visitation will be Friday, one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
