A Celebration of Life for Mr. Roger Dale Hagan will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025 at Corinth Baptist Church, with Rev. Allen Gibson and Rev. Scott Engle officiating. Interment will follow in the church’s cemetery. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Hagan, age 74, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 12, 2025 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson.
Mr. Hagan, was born on July 2, 1951 in DeKalb, MS. He met and married the love of his life, Charlotte, on January 27, 1972 at Corinth Baptist Church. He was affectionately known as “caw-caw” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved his family dearly. If he saw you had a need, he was always willing to lend a helping hand. Roger was a member of Corinth Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He also had many talks with His Lord while cutting and maintaining the church grounds and cemetery. Roger was active in the Damascus community where he served as the Fire Chief of the Damascus Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Charlotte; sons, Tim Hagan (Denise) of Columbus, MS and Matt Hagan (Amanda) of Bowling Green, Kentucky; grandchildren, Garrett Hagan (Kayla) of Collinsville, Gage Hagan of Meridian, Gracin Hagan (Freedom) of DeKalb, Matthew Hagan (Miyona) of Bowling Green, KY, Mahaley Hagan (Eli) of Bowling Green, KY, Madison Hagan of Bowling Green, KY, Dalton Hocutt of Columbus, Kaitlyn Hocutt of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Addelyn, Tatum, Garrisyn, Dallas, Gunner, and Maisyn Hagan; sister, Diane Davidson of Meridian; and a host of friends and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Hagan, mother, Ina Belle Apperson, and one grandson, Garrison Hagan.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Garrett, Gage, Gracin, and Matthew Hagan, and his granddaughters, Mahaley and Madison Hagan. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Damascus Volunteer Fire Department – Brandon Atkinson, C.J. Wilson, Randale Chisolm, Billy Haskins, Jonah Haskins, and Vanessa Clarke.
In addition to flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
