Ronald Warren "Ron" Pennington

Funeral services for Mr. Ronald Warren “Ron” Pennington will be held at 11:30AM, Monday, June 8, 2020, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Dr. John Temple officiating.  Burial will follow at Mississippi Veterans Cemetery in Newton, Mississippi.  Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Ronald Pennington, age 77, of Enterprise, Mississippi passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 2, 2020.

Mr. Pennington served in the United States Marine Corps for 30 years including two tours in Vietnam. He retired as a Sergeant Major.  Ron’s love of shooting sports inspired him to establish several shooting sport competitions at the annual State Games of Mississippi.  As an NRA Certified Firearms Instructor, Ron worked with law enforcement agencies in both Lauderdale and Clarke County where his duties included teaching and certifying law enforcement officers in weapons handling.

Mr. Pennington is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Judith Johnson; two daughters, Lisa McMann (Mike) and Kimberly Galleher (Will); a brother, Steve Pennington (Sharon); and a sister, Paula Pietsch.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Pennington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be shared with the Police Benevolence Foundation.

Visitation will be from 9:00AM until 11:15AM at the funeral home. Due to current state and local restrictions the funeral home is operating at 50% capacity with up to 100 guests indoors at once.  Wearing a mask is required.
