Mr. Norris, 82, of Meridian, died Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, AL following a brief illness.
Ronnie was Christian first and foremost, He loved his Lord; this was evident by his kindness and generosity to all people. He was a member of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church where he faithfully attended. Ronnie graduated from Meridian High School class of 1960 and went on to attend Meridian Junior College. He was employed at Georgia Pacific where he worked over 40 years, as a Quality Control Inspector; he was faithful and dedicated to his work. Ronnie was a Veteran of the MS Air National Guard. He was a man of many talents including art, photography, bowling, a dreamer and a traveler. He enjoyed taking photographs and would go on to use them for his paintings and artwork. Ronnie was a member of the Meridian Bowling League in his younger years and enjoyed playing games such as spinner dominos with his three best friends. He was creative and gifted and used his talents to create house plans and arrange and decorate his home, especially at Christmas. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling with Pat and their friends; his favorite destination was to Pigeon Forge to the Annual Classic Car Shows. Everyone loved Ronnie because he was a living example of “The Love Chapter” found in 1 Corinthians Chapter 13; he was loving, kind, patient, humble, meek, generous, and selfless, always putting others before themselves.
