Funeral services for Rose Wade will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Reverends Josh Messick and Steve Owen officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Wade, age 81, of Meridian, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015. Rose was a native of Oneida, Kentucky. She retired from Riley's Hospital as an LPN. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Mediator. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Don Wade; daughters, Donna Key (Roger) and Kathi Hofer (Bill) of Whidbey Island, Washington; special niece, Cari Duff; granddaughters, Lacy Key of NYC and Lindsey Fair (Ryan) of Cleveland, Ohio; grandsons, Chris Hofer (Elizabeth) of Beaver Dam, Virginia and Brandon Hofer of Salinas, California; great grandchildren, Presley Rose and Jacob Hofer, and Sawyer Mae Hofer arriving this fall; and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Opal and John Lunsford; brother, Sonny Lunsford; and sister, Phrona Lee Mikolajewski. The family would like to request memorials be made to the Anderson Cancer Center Benevolence Fund. Pallbearers will be Alex Smith, John Temple, Melvin Warren, Grady Downey, Steve Lunsford, and Steve Wads. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
