Roy Clyde Parker

PRC (AW/SW) Roy Parker, age 74, of Meridian, Mississippi passed away peacefully at his home on April 10, 2019 surrounded by his family.

Roy was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 22, 1944 to the late Raymond and Clara Parker.  Roy joined the Navy in 1962 and served for twenty-six years.  He was a parachute rigger, helping to save lives around the world, and serving many tours of duty including SEAL Team One support.  He retired from the Navy in 1988.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR and hunting with his grandchildren.  He loved riding motorcycles and participating in motocross.

He is survived by his wife, Veronica Parker; his children, Roy Parker and Tricia Rudden (Terry); his grandchildren, Zachary Rudden, Lauren Creel, Ryan Parker, and Nicholas Parker; his siblings, Winona, Doris, Kathy, and Maxine; numerous nieces and nephews; and his godson, Steven Wheeler.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Louis, Wade, and Mary.

Roy will be missed by his close friend, Richard.
