Ruby Mae Alexander Graveside service for Ruby Mae Alexander will be held Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery, with Reverend Roy Dabbs officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Alexander, 89, of Meridian passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014, at her home. She was a long time active member of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church. Ruby Mae and her husband were very active in the Long Creek Volunteer Fire Department and she was active in the community. She enjoyed cooking and quilting. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include her children, Peggy Monk of Meridian, Diane Moore (Charlie) of Toomsuba, Sandy Crook (Neil) of Amory; grandchildren, Doyle Alexander of Meridian, Angel Whitehurst (Brandt) of Wichita, Kansas, Berry Alexander (Samantha) of Hattiesburg and Nikki Henderson (Eric) of Meridian; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Christopher, Oliver, Weston, Landon and Ruby Mae; brothers and sisters, Hazel Pickard (Gerald) of Meridian, Ed Bradley (JoAnn) of Meridian, James Bradley (Ernesteen) of Meridian, Larry Bradley (Linda) of Meridian and sister-in-law, Pat Bradley of Clinton, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mathe Alexander; son, Marcellus Alexander; mother and father Ruben and Mae Bradley; brother, Eldon Bradley and sister, Dorothy Collins. Pallbearers will be Doyle Alexander, Braxton Boswell, Berry Alexander, Gabriel Gonzalez, Ro Gonzalez, Gavin Alexander and honorary pallbearer, Doug Bradley.
