Ruby Maggard Keenum Edney Retired Seamstress Graveside services for Ruby Maggard Keenum Edney will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Davey Wilkinson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Edney, 96, of Meridian, died Wednesday May 19, 2010, at Andersons Regional Medical Center. She was a retired seamstrees, and a lifelong member of Cokers Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Edney was a member of Hattiesburg V.F.W Post MOC Auxiliary and a member of Meridian Moose Lodge. She was a life member of VFW Post 79, Ladies Auxiliary of Meridian and a past member of Mississippi Homemakers Volunteers. Survivors include her husband, Billy L. Edney; and children, Rose Marie Keenum Lucovich and her husband Peter and Barbara Keenum Moseley and her husband, Donald, all of Meridian and Jim Keenum and his wife, Janet, of Altus, Okla.; stepsons, David Edney and his wife Robin of Brandon and Lance Edney of Columbus, Ga.; seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Freda Knight of Memphis, Tenn. and Bernice Richards of Jackson, Ga. She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of three children, Charles Shelby Keenum; stepson, Louis Ray Edney; two granddaughters, Robin Lee Moseley and Ramona Neal Harper; great-grandson, Jarrod Shelby Hand; and four sisters. The family requests memorials be made to Cokers Chapel United Methodist Church Building Fund or your favorite charity. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
