Funeral services for Ruby Carolyn Swistek will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Community Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Karl Leukert officiating. Burial will follow at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Swistek, age 72, of Meridian passed away Friday, April 29, 2016 at Rush Foundation Hospital.

Mrs. Swistek was a longtime member of Community Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was a devoted housewife and mother. She enjoyed working in her garden.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Swistek; sons, Richard Swistek and Robert Swistek; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Amy, Nicholas, Luke, Tyler, Reese, and Jared; great grandchildren, Brayden, Emma, and Paiton; daughter-in-law, Kim Swistek; brother, Ralston Dew (Frances); sister, Lorraine Mosley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Tammy Conner and Lisa Swistek; son, Lawrence Swistek; granddaughter, Bethany Hamilton; brother, Larry Dew; and sister, Betty Jo.
