Rubye Alice Phillips McKee Graveside services for Rubye Alice McKee will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015, at 3:00 pm, at Enterprise Cemetery in Enterprise, MS. Reverend Chuck Meador will officiate, with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. McKee, age 85, of Enterprise, MS, passed away Wednesday, January 28, at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson, MS. Mrs. McKee and her husband served as educators at the Stonewall School from 1947 until 1963. They served at Pelahatchie Attendance Center in Pelahatchie, MS for 14 years. They later moved to Enterprise, MS, and served at Enterprise School until retirement in 1984. They enjoyed many retirement years together and with family. Survivors include her daughters, Belinda McKee Matlock and husband, Gary, of Meridian and Beverly McKee Wadlington of Jackson; grandchildren, Meredith Brooks and husband, Joey, and Wil Matlock, all of Meridian, McKee Wadlington and Anna Lamar Wadlington, both of Jackson; great-grandchildren, Carly Owen, Zoe, Coleman, and Lake Brooks, all of Meridian; sister, Nell Lanier of Huntsville, AL; brother, Billy Phillips and wife, Betty, of Galveston, TX, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, K.C. McKee; her parents, James Garfield and Willie Phillips; her brothers, Johnny Phillips, Willie James Phillips, Glen Phillips, and her sister, Sybil Litchfield.
