Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Barham will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Green officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Mrs. Ruth Barham, 90, of Meridian, passed away on Christmas Day, December 25, 2024.
A devoted follower of Christ and longtime member of 15th Avenue Baptist Church, Mrs. Ruth inspired all who knew her with her unwavering faith and spiritual strength. As the co-founder and former owner of O.C. Barham Funeral Homes, she exemplified hard work, integrity, and service to others, leaving a lasting impact on her community.
Affectionately known as Mama or Granny, Mrs. Ruth was the heart and glue of her family, nurturing generations with unconditional love and wisdom. Her home was a haven of warmth, filled with the laughter of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her legacy will forever be remembered in the lives she touched, the faith she shared, and the love she gave so freely. Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing she is now in the presence of the Lord.
Mrs. Ruth is survived by her children, Bill Barham (Christine), Bob Barham (Sharon), Beth Barham (Mike Jenkins), and Bruce Barham (Martha); her grandchildren, Brooke Alford (Alex), Britney Whitaker (Ryan), Brandi Churchill (John Michael), Baleigh Davis (Bo), B.J. Barham (Summer), Blaire Davis (Austin), Bryan Barham, Brach Barham (Sarah), Blake Munn (Jacob), Brant Barham; seventeen great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Bernice Barham and Amy Barham; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and the funeral home family.
Mrs. Barham was preceded in death by her husband, O.C. Barham; her parents, Samuel and Effie Taylor; and her sisters, Millie Pellicci and Tootsie Price.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons, grandson-in-laws, Dexter Chambers, and Lance Copeland.
The family requests memorials be made as donations to 15th Avenue Baptist Church Building fund, or to a charity of your choice.

The Barham family will receive guests Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. prior to the funeral service.
