Sally Alice Mcculley Widen

Memorial services celebrating the life of Sally Widen will begin at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at The Episcopal Church of the Mediator (3825 35th Avenue, Meridian, Mississippi 39305), with the Rev. Morris Thompson, III officiating. Interment rites will immediately follow in the church columbarium. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Salina "Sally" Alice McCulley Widen, age 70, of Meridian passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at her residence.

Sally was born in Philadelphia, MS, but she lived in Meridian, MS since the age of 3. She was a graduate of Meridian High School and the University of Mississippi. Sally worked as a Bookkeeper and a Commercial Insurance Rater for F.W. Williams State Agency (also known as USF&G Ins. Co.), Great River Insurance Co., and Jacob & Kieronski, LLP. She was a member of The Insurance Women of Meridian, and she earned a CPIW (Commercial Professional Insurance Woman) designation.

She was a faithful member of The Episcopal Church of the Mediator and served on local church committees. In the Diocese, she was a participant and staff member in Happening and Cursillo. She was also a member of Daughters of the King and was an Education for Ministry graduate.

She is survived by her children, Candice Widen Flynt (Jeff) of San Francisco, California and Patrick Austin Widen (Jennifer) of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; and her grandchildren, Fallon Sage Maxwell "Max" Flynt, Naomi Katherine Flynt, and Kai Torsten Widen.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Widen, and her parents, David, and Elizabeth McCulley.

A visitation with refreshments will follow the memorial service in the Parish Hall at The Episcopal Church of the Mediator.
