Sam Gerwert

Memorial services for Mr. Sam Gerwert will be held Sunday, December 31, 2017, at 4:00pm at Poplar Springs United Methodist Church, with Bro. Chuck Meador officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Gerwert, age 67, of Meridian, passed away December 29, 2017, at Rush Hospital.

In 1968, Mr. Gerwert graduated from Frontenac High School. He was employed with McElroy Truck Line for many years. He was a faithful member of Poplar Springs United Methodist Church

Survivors include his wife, Sue Gerwert of Meridian; son, Mike (Kay) Gerwert of Union, Kentucky; grandsons, Joseph and Jacob Gerwert of Union, Kentucky; and his sister, Peggy Monaghan of Pittsburg, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Jennie Lee (Butler) Gerwert; and his grandparents Henry and Merle (Conley) Gerwert.

The family requests memorials be made to Poplar Springs United Methodist Church Maintenance Fund.
