Sam Roberts Services for Sam Roberts will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Chaplain Reardon officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Harrison, Arkansas. Mr. Roberts, 64, of Meridian, Mississippi passed away on March 20, 2015, at Rush Foundation Hospital, with his sister at his side. Sam was one of a kind, a dedicated naval man, and cast iron collector. He touched so many lives and never met a stranger. He enlisted in the Navy after his senior graduation, and continued his career until his recent illness forced his retirement. He was known across the base of Meridian as the one who would get things done, making sure all phone systems were working. Survivors include his sister, Irene Roberts of Harrison, Arkansas; granddaughter, Dominque Durden of Harrison; grandson, Brandon and wife, Brittany and great-granddaughter, Jaesi May of Georgia; nephews, Jeremy Earnhart and son, Roman of Chicago; Paul Earnhart and Christian Cantwell of Marble Falls, Arkansas, Justin Earnhart and wife, Chelcie, son and daughter, Cyrus and Alize of Harrison, Arkansas; special friends, Denise, Keith, Nikki, Jessie, Dot and Billy of Meridian, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his dad, Paul Roberts; mother, Lotus Roberts; brother, Paul Roberts, Jr.; his sister and brother-in-law, Paulette and Ernie Hataway; his son, Steven Roberts, and his daughter, Stacey McDonald.
