Funeral services for Sammie Jean Blundell will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Reverends Richard Cothern, Macon Phillips, and Grey Falanga officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Blundell, 90, of Enterprise, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, November 15, at North Pointe Health and Rehab. Sammie Jean was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church, where she taught the Ruth's Ladies Sunday school class. She also taught youth Sunday school at 1st Baptist Church in Greenville, Mississippi and Calvary Baptist Church in Macon, Mississippi. She was an active member and teacher of Precept Bible Study in Meridian for over fifteen years. Mrs. Blundell coordinated a team to assemble brail Bibles in Columbus, Mississippi to be shipped worldwide. Working with her two daughters, she was a stained glass artist for over thirty-five years. She was blessed to be able to stay home, raise her family, and be involved in her many activities. Celebrating her life are her daughters, Ann Blundell Kavanaugh, Jo Blundell (Ellis) Rhett, and Belinda "BJ" Blundell (Neil) Hatten; grandchildren, Shelley Franks (Telford) Lindsay, Haley Franks Bianchini, Parker (Libby) Rhett, Sarah Elizabeth Rhett (Grey) Falanga; great-grandchildren, Anna Grace Lindsay, Riley Blundell Bianchini, Hadley Elizabeth Rhett, William Ellis Rhett, Harrison Parker Rhett, Rhett Humphreys Falanga, and Caroline Collins Falanga. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years, Floyd H. Blundell. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at robertbarhamffh.com. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful, caring staff at North Pointe Health and Rehab for the loving care they provided to our precious mother.
