Funeral services for Mrs. Sammie Kate “Ms. Dolly” Roper will begin at 12:00 pm Friday, March 16, 2018 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry McMullen officiating. Interment will follow at Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Roper, 90, of Meridian passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 at Rush Foundation Hospital.

Mrs. Dolly will be remembered as a sweet loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Don Harper (Nell), Ron Harper (Harriet) Hilda Johnson (Tim); step-children, Teresa Roberts, Vicki Roberts Lewis, David Roberts (Lisa) and Donavan Roper. Grandchildren, Patrick Harper (Jake Smith), Traci Johnson (James), Angi Morris (Brian), Lauri Poore (Chris), Justin Thomas (Sarah), Chase Harper (Michelle), Dylan Harper (Amanda), Amber Linton (Brooks), Austin Bloebaum, Brittni McMunn (Josh), Tim Johnson II, Rebecca Freeman (Mark), Daniel Golden (Christy), Jason Helms, Jennifer Helms and Sharon Kinman. 28 great-grandchildren; Sister, Eloise Davidson, sister in law, Jewelene Stewart and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Roper is preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Bryan Harper, Van Roberts and Steve Roper. One grandson, Clint Harper; parents Samuel and Kate Jay Stewart; Brothers, Clyde, Clay, James, J.I., and Judson Stewart; Sisters, Janie Reese and Belle Langford.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
