Samuel "Sammy Ray" Ray Williams Services for Samuel Ray Williams will be held Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 3:30 at Lauderdale United Methodist Church, with Reverend Davie Wilkinson officiating. Burial will be in Center Ridge Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Williams, 72, of Lauderdale, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at his residence. To all who knew and loved him, you know it is impossible to sum up his life in mere words. To his family and friends he was the most caring, thoughtful person you could meet, a man of great strength and above all a great love for his family. He was extremely proud of and spoke often of his six girls and three boys. He was a retired construction company owner, husband of 52 years, member of the Lauderdale UMC and loved dearly by his family. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Gray Williams of Lauderdale; daughter, Irma Kay Williams of Lauderdale; granddaughters, Nikki Fuller and her husband, Ed of Emelle, AL, Shannon Hall and husband, Brad of Springville, AL; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Ainsley Fuller and Isaiah Hall, sisters, Bonnie Hamner and Edith Watson of Lauderdale; brothers, Neal Williams and his wife Anne of Hattiesburg, MS, Walter Williams and his wife Cheryl of Lauderdale, Larry Williams and his wife, Patti of Atlanta, GA, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Ray and Nora Ann Tucker Williams. Pallbearers will be Ralph Morgan, Ralph McDaniel, Bobby Pritchett, Jerry Hughes, Gerald Cross, Ricky Nelson, Leroy Harris, Jackie Thompson, and George Parks.
