Sandra Drucille Lummus

Graveside services for Mrs. Sandra Drucille Lummus will begin at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Graham Cemetery on Valley Road with Rev. Doug Goodman officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Lummus, 86, of Meridian, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born to Falcon C. and Melba Drucille (Hunt) Thompson on April 19, 1938, in Lauderdale County. She was a school bus driver for Meridian Public Schools, a secretary at Southern Pipe and for her husband's Alternator Generator business, Auto Electric. She then went on to work as a secretary for the Anderson's Hospital X-Ray Department. She also was a loving mother, homemaker, and crafty lady who loved buttons, woodworking, painting, drawing, and quilting. She enjoyed camping with precious friends in the mountains and at the beach.

She was joyfully looking forward to going to her heavenly home to meet her Lord and Savior and be reunited with her precious husband, son, family, and friends.

She is survived by her daughters Kay Lummus Maddox (Lance) and Terry Lummus Moffett (Jeffery); grandchildren, Ben Moffett (Jill), Jesse Moffett (Katelyn), and Keri Jackson Bucurel (Tommy); great grandchildren, Cora Bucurel, Austin Bucurel, Smith Moffett, Whit Moffett, Semmes Christian, and Wilder Moffett, her brother; Keith Thompson, and her sister; Sherry Archie (David).

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Edwin Lee Lummus, her precious son, Mark Edwin Lummus, her parents Falcon Cullen Thompson and Melba Drucille Hunt Thompson, brothers; Abe Cullen Thompson and Sidney Wayne Thompson, sister, Rita Lynn Thompson Goodman.

Pallbearers will be Lance Maddox, Jeffery Moffett, Ben Moffett, Jesse Moffett, Tommy Bucurel, and Austin Bucurel.
