Private graveside services for Mrs. Sara Jo Malone will be Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Magnolia Cemetery with the Reverend John Branning officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Malone, 93, of Meridian passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 with her family by her side.

Sara Jo was born in Meridian, Mississippi on July 16, 1926. She attended MSCW and the University of Alabama. While in College she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She left college to marry the love of her life, Jack R. Malone. She was a lifelong member of Central United Methodist Church and beloved by many in her community. She even hit a hole-in-one at Northwood Country Club.

Mrs. Malone is survived by her children, Mina Beth Tonini (Charles Patrick) and J. Robert Malone (Gloria). Grandson, Malone Myers, and great-granddaughter, Cassidy Marie Myers. Brother-in-law, John Phillip Shealy as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. Malone; sister, Beth Shealy, and her parents, Mary Elizabeth and Robert Hayes Sanderson.

The family extends many thanks to the Aldersgate community, her sitters and Compassus Home Health Care.

The family request memorials be made as donations to Aldersgate Retirement Community: 6600 Poplar Springs Dr, Meridian, MS 39305 in lieu of flowers.
