Sara Catherine Stewart Services for Sara Catherine Stewart will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Kenneth Owens, pastor of College Park UMC and Reverend Dennis Coats, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Quitman officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Sara, 85, died from a prolonged illness, August 23, 2011 with her son Randy, by her side at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 26, 1926 to Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Caraway in Rose Hill, Mississippi. She graduated from Rose Hill High School. She was a charter member of College Park United Methodist Church. Sara loved fishing, gardening, and most importantly her family and church. She was a long time employee of Maywebb Hosiery Mill. She is survived by her son Wesley Randolph (Randy) Stewart of Chunky; sister Mattie Flynt of Pachuta; brother Will Caraway of Laurel; three grandsons David Linton and wife Judy of Sanford, Florida, Steven Linton and his wife Camille of Gulfport, Trey Stewart of Covington, Georgia ; granddaughter Courtney Stewart of Dallas, Texas; six great-grandchildren, John and Allison Linton of Florida, Sara, Ramsey and Farris Linton of Mississippi, Luke Geist of Texas and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband J. Wesley Stewart; a daughter Faye Linton; three sisters and a brother. The family would like to give special thanks to the following caregivers Randy's fiancé Janet Baskin and her daughter Trisi, Kitty Bonner and Ezella Heard . Pallbearers will be Sam Burks, Trey Stewart, John Linton, Denny Caraway, Kenny Caraway and Ken Flynt.
