Sarah Lincoln Tew LaCour A family burial service will be held for Mrs. Sarah Lincoln Tew LaCour of Meridian, who died peacefully at her home in Meridian on June 30, 2015. Sarah Lincoln was born May 18, 1924, in Meridian, to the late Robert Soule Tew and Sarah Wilhelmine Brown. She was an alumna of Meridian High School and Mississippi State College for Women. Mrs. LaCour was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. ("Al") LaCour, Jr., and by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Wilhelmine Streater Tew Damon; by her three children, Joseph A. ("Al") LaCour, III, of Atlanta, GA; Robert L. LaCour, of Los Angeles, CA; Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth LaCour Carter, of Flagstaff, AZ; by four grandchildren, Rachel Elizabeth LaCour, Jonathan A. LaCour, Erin Elizabeth Carter, and William Emerson Carter; by three great- grandchildren Sarah Colette LaCour, William Jonathan LaCour, and Joseph Edward Niesen - expected in September. Sarah Lincoln was an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, and of Northwood Country Club. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 4223 Poplar Springs Dr, Meridian, MS 39305.
