Graveside services for Sarah Ollie White McDonald will be held Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery in Collinsville with Rev. T.J. Jennings officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Mrs. Sarah Ollie White McDonald, age 95, of Meridian passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Wisteria Gardens in Pearl, Mississippi.
Sarah Ollie White McDonald, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was best known for all the meals she cooked and served to the community at McDonald's SnackBar.
She is survived by her loving family: one sister, Jeanine Shearin; two daughters, Bev Cathey (Max) and Denise Goree (David); four granddaughters, Leah Dodson (Nick), Dena Steen (Jody), Jessica Burgess (Gabby), and Dara Hendrix (Matt); six great-grandchildren, Malorie Steen, Maxim Burgess, Sophie and Wyatt Brooks, and Hallie and Harrison Hendrix. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Berta Lee White; one sister, Joan Evans; one brother, Gordon White, Jr.; and her husband of almost sixty years, John McDonald.
The family requests memorials be shared with Pine Forest Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis in lieu of flowers.
Pallbearers will be Gabby Burgess, Maxim Burgess, Nick Dodson, Matt Hendrix, Jody Steen, and Brad White. Honorary pallbearers include Chris Branning and Allen Nowell.

In closing, the family would like to thank the staff of Wisteria Gardens in Pearl. They went above and beyond the call of duty to care for our "Granny."
