Sarah Wilkinson "Meme" Rutledge

Funeral services for Sarah Wilkinson “MeMe” Rutledge will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Carmel Baptist Church with Reverends Jack Giles, David Wilkinson and Bill Wilkinson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Rutledge, age 79, of Quitman passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017, peacefully in her home. She was a loving wife for more than 63 years and a loving mother, who cherished the Lord and her family.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Rutledge, of Quitman; her son, Kenneth Rutledge (Judy) of Bailey; her daughter, Pam Reynolds (Rollo) of Quitman; grandchildren, Shane Morris, Chris Morris (Jennifer), Brandon Reynolds, Brittany Haney (Buddy), Keely Followay (Jamie) and Kirby Simmons (Brandon); brothers, Reverend Bill Wilkinson (Dartha) and Reverend David Wilkinson (Delma); 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, V.G. and Lorraine Wilkinson; brother, Joe Wilkinson; and sister, Marjorie Boswell Tester.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

Pallbearers will be Shane Morris, Chris Morris, Brandon Reynolds, Buddy Haney, Justice Morris, Jamie Followay and Brandon Simmons.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Carmel Baptist Church.
