Graveside services for Sarah Kay Shelby will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Feirtag officiating. Interment will follow graveside rites. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Sarah Kay Shelby, 85, of Meridian, MS, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Bedford Care Center of Marion.

Sarah retired from Citizen's National Bank where she worked for over forty years in Operations. 

Her hobbies included reading and spending time with friends and family.

She is survived by her brother, Jerry Wayne Shelby, nieces, Terrie Carlisle (B.J.) and Peggy Harper, nephews, John Harper Jr., Mike Shelby (Sheri), and Richard Harper, and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orbie and Ida Shelby, siblings, John Harper Sr., Everett Harper, Melvin Harper, Evelyn Harper, Gene Shelby, Joe Neal Shelby, and sister-in-law, Rachel Shelby.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Alzheimer's Association in Sarah's honor.
