Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Smith Snowden will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Collinsville Methodist Church with Dr. Ron Kitchens officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Sarah Smith Snowden, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at her residence with her husband by her side. Sarah was born March 4, 1930 in Hookston, MS now known as Suqualena, MS. Sarah was a wonderful, great, and loving wife, mother, grandma, and friend. She graduated from Meridian Junior College and then Southern Mississippi in 1951. She had many accomplishments throughout her life and changed the lives of her students as a math teacher. She taught at the former Kate Griffin elementary as well as Atlanta, Georgia. Sarah was loved by many and will greatly missed.

Sarah Snowden is survived by her loving husband, Norman Snowden; children, Mark Snowden and Marian Beck (Joe); grandchildren, Cliff Beck, Sarah Lewis (Kevin), and Charlie Beck, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Sarah is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Nettie Smith; siblings, Wilson Smith, Christine Trawick, Durward Smith, and Evans Smith.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to the Collinsville Methodist Church.
