Funeral services for Sarah Williams will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Raymon Leake officiating. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Clarke County and Rev. Kyle Routzahn officiating.

Mrs. Williams, age 81, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Williams was a native of Clarke County and graduated from Enterprise High School. Soon thereafter, she married Ralph Williams and together they moved to Kansas where they raised a family and lived for 20 years. In 1979 they moved back to Meridian where she worked at Bonnie Jean’s Clothing Store. She was a longtime member of Highland Baptist Church where she was actively involved in church life. Her greatest joys involved her family, especially supporting the activities of her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Brad Williams and wife, Julie; grandchildren, Brock Williams and Lindley Williams; brother, Billy Williams and wife, Barbara; nieces, Vanessa Moore (Tim), Sheila Graham (Leon), Jean Medley (Tim), Linda Bartling (Buddy), Nancy Nicholson, Frances Thornhill, Jann Puckett (George), Lisa Vickers (Ron), Jackie Durrett, and Cheryl Kopfman (Jack); nephews, Bobby Walker (Joyce), Mike Walker, Rick Williams (Sabrina), James Weaver Jr., Roger Jones (Julie), Kris Jones (Donna), and Mike Jones; sister-in-law, Martha Williams; and brother-in-law, Keith Jones (Wynell).

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ralph Williams; son, Mark Williams; parents, Richard G. and Arizona Williams; sisters, Hazel Walker, Maurine Weaver, Jewell Taylor, and Berniece Nicholson; and brother, Richard Williams Jr.

Pallbearers will be Adam Moore, Tim Moore, Leon Graham, Rick Williams, Neill Bartling, Mike Walker, Chad Thornhill, and Stan Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Walker, George Puckett, Tom Clayton, and Jack Williams.
