Funeral services for Scharlene Rivers Horne will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church with Pastor Marvin Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Horne, age 56, of Meridian, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Scharlene was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She was filled with love and laughter and never missed the opportunity to get into mischief. She loved her family, especially her grandkids, whom she spent as much time with as possible, and was loved by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, John Allen Horne; daughter, Heather Dearing (Carney); son, Trevor Horne (Chassity); daughter, Rachel Horne (Paul Mann); step-son, Trent Horne (Amy); grandchildren include, Alyssa Breedlove, Madisyn Breedlove, Eli and Logan Dearing, Annsley Claire Horne, Braxton Mann, Tyler Mann, Summer Horne, and Brooke Horne; brothers, Sam Rivers and Lee Rivers; sisters, Lisa Frederickson, Jennifer Holliday, and Jessica Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmette Rivers and Patsy Guthrie.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2015, 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
