Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. Seala was born on December 29, 1969 and moved to her eternal heavenly home at the age of 45 on July 18, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jackson. Seala was a 1988 graduate of West Lauderdale High School and a 1990 graduate of Meridian Community College. She was employed by USM School of Nursing and Lauderdale County School System. A quote from Max Depree describes Seala's attitude toward her life on earth. "When you can't change the direction of the wind, adjust your sails." She was born with Spinal Bifida and from the very beginning of her life, she dealt with health issues, but she NEVER gave up. From walking on crutches with braces on her legs early in life to maneuvering a motorized chair when she was unable to walk, she NEVER gave in and NEVER complained about the things she could not do. Her strength and faith in God as her Great Physician enabled her to outlive her life expectancy by 30 years, and she did so with dignity and honor. She amazed everyone, but especially her Doctors through the years. One of them even said he hesitated to say much because she would just prove him wrong!! In her life, she had many teachers who taught various subjects in school, but she was the greatest teacher of all. She taught by example so many life lessons as she lived her testimony every day, depended on the strength of the Lord, always found the silver lining behind every dark cloud, focused on the unseen rather than the seen, cared very little for material possessions, and always held tightly to the truth that God was in control. She possessed a wit and a smile that encouraged others to follow her lead and "adjust your sail when you can't control the direction of the wind". Isaiah 40:31 is now a reality for Seala--She has fresh strength, her wings have spread to soar like an eagle, she can run and not tire, she can walk and not lag behind. Seala is survived by her best friend and husband, David; a son, Rev. Samuel D.
