Sharon Kay Poole

July 14, 1953 — April 27, 2025

Funeral services for Mrs. Sharon “Kay” Poole will begin at 2:00 PM Friday, May 2, 2025, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with the Reverends Bill Yount and Don Malin officiating. Mrs. Poole, 71, of Bailey, died Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

Kay was a loving mother who loved her family fiercely. To know her was to love her, always sharing her loving and precious spirit to all she encountered. She loved to share gifts, and love with all she met; she loved celebrating all holidays, especially Christmas. Kay loved and adored her cats. She was an avid supporter of Relay for Life whom she gave her time to for over 20 years. She also supported and promoted Lauderdale County 4-H throughout the years. She worked at the Meridian Coca Cola Plant for over 40 years, serving diligently and always supporting her co-workers. Kay was a dedicated member of Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church where she served as Pianist, Music Director, and Children’s Ministry Director. Kay also loved sharing her musical gifts through the Meridian Symphony Chorus.

Above all, Kay was most devoted to her Lord and Family. She was a dedicated wife to the love of her life for over 46 years; one of her most cherished roles was being Granna to her beloved grandson, Jacob. Their bond was inseparable, and they most enjoyed their time together. She was also the greatest supporter of her daughter, Amy, and always loved to hear her sing at any opportunity.

Kay is survived by her daughter, Amy McMinn (Adam); grandson, Jacob Timothy McMinn; brother-in-law, Chris Poole (Joyce); sisters-in-law, Deb Sylvia (Jon) and Cindy Poole Dyess, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mrs. Poole is preceded in death by her loving husband, Timothy Poole; her parents, Murry and Ruby Rogers; Father, and Mother-in-law, Erskine and Eunice Poole; her brother, Kenneth E Rogers (Brenda); her infant sister, Sharon Rogers; as well as her brother-in-law, Peter Poole.

Pallbearers will be Jack Gordman, Drake Gordman, Chris Poole, Christopher Poole, Jr., Caleb Poole, and Zena Limerick. Honorary Pallbearers will be Wade Rogers and Thornald McMinn, Jr.
