Born in Montgomery, AL and raised in Meridian, Diane was the daughter of Bob and Anne Hargon and had two siblings, Mark and Robin. Since childhood, Diane always smiled and laughed and she was known for her kindness, lovely demeanor, adventurous energy.
Diane met Ronnie through mutual friends after graduation in 1968 and they married in 1971 - they had Kelli in 1975 and Jonathan in 1981. Together, Diane and Ronnie happily raised their family on the edge of town, surrounded by beautiful green hills and woods.

During the 18 years of Diane's retirement, she lived life to the fullest. She and Ronnie traveled the world together with friends and members of the MCC Foundation for more than a decade, and she worked for MCC's Lifetime Quest for 10 years - a retirement job she truly cherished.
Diane was and a loving and proactive grandmother and exposed Connor and Cooper to arts and culture and places outside of Meridian. Diane adored spending time in New Orleans with her close friends and family. She admired City Park, where she loved going to plant festivals with Kelli and exploring the sculpture garden with Jonathan. She and her friends frequented their favorite restaurants and the Saenger Theatre and played many bridge tournaments.
Diane had various interests through the years - traveling, volunteering, vintage jewelry, bridge, walks with friends - but the one thing she enjoyed the most was gardening and planting flowers around her home - something she cherished the last year of her life.
Besides her family, Diane's closest friends were the most important part of her life. She was incredibly blessed with the best of friends one could ask for. Those friends supported her through the difficult storm she battled in the last year of her life. Diane's family expresses their sincerest admiration and gratitude to Diane's caretakers, friends and anyone that checked on her over the last year. We love you all!
Survivors include her devoted husband of 54 years, Ronnie Wells, two children, Kelli Wells Rainer (Chad), Jonathan Wells, two grandsons, Connor Rainer and Cooper Rainer, and numerous cousins and extended family and close friends.
