A memorial service for Shawn David Flowers will be held Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at Church of God (Holiness) in Cuba, AL with Reverend Tatum officiating. Burial will be on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 1:15 p.m. Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida, with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Flowers, age 52, of Lauderdale, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a retired Air Force veteran who served in the Gulf War and was an active member in the Veterans Brotherhood VMC. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, and riding his motorcycle. Survivors include his daughters, Amber Byess and Katelynn Flowers; son, Christopher Moore; mother, Royette Wood Hack; grandchildren, Mackenzie Byess, George Byess, Rhian Byess and Zoe Zabarkus; nephew, Jeremy Nelson; and uncle, Aubrey Wood. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Christine Flowers; father, Charles Harold Flowers; stepfather, Herbert Hack; and sister, Michelle Nelson.
