Sherry Jane Kirchner

Mrs. Sherry Jane (Lang) Kirchner, age 77, of Marion, Mississippi (formerly Charleston, IL) passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on July 29, 2024.

Sherry was born in Charleston, Illinois on February 25, 1947, to parents Barbara (Lee) Kater and Harold Lang. She married John Kirchner September 9, 1988

Sherry loved planting beautiful spring and summer flowers, watching for hummingbirds, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and family. She was a fabulous cook and seamstress who loved to make crafts and decorate for holidays. John and Sherry loved to spend time traveling together.

Survivors include her loving husband John Kirchner; daughters Michelle (Dennis) Simpson, Nichole (Gabe) Waggoner; step children Cindy (Mike) Blank, Johnny Kirchner, Stephanie (Jim) Sims; grandchildren Victoria (Alex) Wisbeck, Michaela (Lauren) Cowell, Elle Drake, Josh Blank, Heidi (Whit) Antalek, Matthew Sims, and Elizabeth Sims; great grandsons Hudson and Miles Bailey; sisters Patsy (Jim) Dunn and Linda Miller; nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Cynthia Lang, and 2 grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date to honor Sherry.
